Beertender
Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly and hardworking beertender with a vast knowledge of craft beer and the Los Angeles craft beer scene to join our team. The beertender position ranges from 10 - 30 hours per week. Candidates will need to have a flexible schedule with open night, weekend, and holiday availability.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay range: $17.87/hr + Tips

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as an educational ambassador for all customers. Go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to our guests
Educate guests about Frogtown Brewery and its brand, products and culture
Give recommendations and have patience with guests of all levels of craft beer knowledge
Maintain a safe and clean working environment for staff and guests
Greet guests, and explain all ordering protocols
Ensure all guests are provided with beer clean glassware and a proper pour
Practice responsible service standards
Ensure a clean taproom environment including: regularly bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, removing trash, cleaning/restocking restrooms, washing glassware, etc.
Participate in special events as needed
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must love craft beer. Previous Brewery or homebrewing experience is a plus
Flexible schedule with open availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
Cicerone Certified Beer Server certificate (can be obtained after hire)
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Must be in good physical condition and able to maneuver in tight/confined spaces. Must be able to walk, sit, stand, crouch, climb, balance, talk, hear, taste, smell and see for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and maneuver at least 165 lb kegs.

Cellar Person (Part-Time)
Job Description:
The Cellar Person supports the brewing team in all aspects of beer production after wort creation. This hands-on role focuses on fermentation management, beer transfers, cleaning and sanitation, and packaging support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about craft beer.

Location and Hours
The work will take place at 2931 Gilroy Street Los Angeles, CA
This is a part time role 10-20 hours / week. This role will have 1 dedicated 8-hour shift and another 4-8 hour shift as needed for packaging support.
Occasional opportunities for extra hours to work special projects or events, if desired and knowledgeable
Responsibilities:
Fermentation & Cellar Operations
Monitor fermentation progress and record key data (gravity, pH, temperature)
Manage yeast handling: harvesting, pitching, and disposal
Perform beer transfers (racking) with attention to minimizing oxygen pickup
Operate pumps, hoses, and other cellar equipment safely and efficiently
Cleaning & Sanitation
Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, fittings, and cellar equipment
Execute CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sanitize-In-Place) procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellar environment
Packaging Support
Assist with kegging, canning, and bottling operations as needed
Clean and fill kegs for taproom and distribution
Quality & Safety
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
Communicate any issues or inconsistencies to the brewing team promptly
General Duties
Support brewers and team members as needed
Maintain accurate records and logs for all cellar activities
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and brewing best practices, implementing new techniques or equipment as appropriate.
Opportunity to represent the brewery in industry events, festivals, and promotional activities, showcasing our beers and sharing knowledge with customers and enthusiasts.
Requirements:
Must be over 21 years of age
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the brewery.
Previous experience in a production brewery or similar environment preferred
Ability to repeatedly lift 55 lbs and maneuver 165 lb kegs
Comfortable working in cold, wet, and noisy environments
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Passion for craft beer and the brewing process
